Emergency Medicine Conference
This conference provides EMTs, paramedics, first responders, emergency physicians, nurses, and other direct-care workers with up-to-the-minute information on a wide variety of topics in emergency medicine. The conference format includes lectures, a panel discussion, smaller group breakout sessions, case studies, practical exercises, and question-and-answer sessions. There is also a Wilderness Medicine conference track.

Wilderness First Aid Certification Course
January 10-11, 2026
This is a 16-hour, skills-based course designed to prepare participants to evaluate, provide first-aid treatment and when necessary, safely transport injured or sick individuals who may be encountered in a remote or wilderness environment.
Webinar- Emerging Roles for Wilderness Physical Therapists

This webinar will teach participants how their skillsets as physical therapists can make key contributions to backcountry care including scene management, differential diagnosis, administration of treatment with limited resources and the development of creative ways to stabilize and transport patients.
The webinar, hosted by CPTA Northeast District, will be based upon the speakers’— the Wilderness Physical Therapy Educators— experiences providing point-of-contact backcountry patient care as physical therapists in the US National Park Service, Wilderness Search and. Rescue, and Wildland Fire Fighting.
